More Christmas Swaps

Do you ever wish you had purchased a set of stamps, framelits or a punch and then have it be retired before you got around to it?  This is how I feel about the Sensational Season Stamp Set and the matching framelits called the Holiday Collection.  When I first saw it, I thought to myself I can live without it.  Now that I have participated in this Christmas swap  I wish I had purchased it.

Kathe Deck made this card for the swap.  It is so cute.  She used the new Core’dinations paper in Gumball Green as the background and cut the trees out of various other greens Stampin Up carries (Certainly Celery, Garden Green and Gumball Green).  She cut the stars out with the new Gold Glimmer Paper.  Love it!

The next card I received is from my new found sister, Buffy Cooper.  You have seen a few items on my blog from her.  Each one is even better than the other, which you would think would be impossible to do.

Buffy used the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp set and matching Framelits from the Holiday catalog.  She embossed her background with the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder and cut that cute bow using two hearts and circle out of silver glimmer paper.  The prettiest part is she embossed a snowflake using Silver Embossing Powder.  Remind me to ask her where the snowflake came from because it is beautiful (maybe I can get her to tell us in the comments below).

  1. I’m enjoying your blog so much!! The center (embossed) part of the ornament is the snowflake stamp from the Mixed Medley hostess set (in the Holiday Catalog). We got the set at convention in July. If anyone wants the set – talk to Susan about hostessing a workshop!! If you hold it before Dec. 1 and it’s $450 (minimum), you’ll get a FREE classic ink stampin’ pad collection! (Or, sign up to be a member of Susan’s stamping team and get the free stamp pads as well as the chance to go to convention 2013 to celebrate our 25 years!)
