Serene Silhouettes

I am usually a bright and sunny color person but I decided to make a card using more neutral colors.  I saw a card similar to this one on Piinterest and decided to try it but at the same time changing it.  First I stamped the flowers from Serene Silhouettes in Early Expresso onto Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Then I covered both sides of the card stock with a straight edge and sponged (yes, sponged! I know. Aren’t you surprised?) the open area in Crumb Cake and then stamped the sentiment from Sweet Essentials.  The ribbon I added is called Crochet Trim and is really lovely.  It is much better in person than in the catalog.   I am really getting outside my box, aren’t I?

  1. Beautiful, Susan – and you’re getting closer and closer to vintage territory. One day, we’ll see a Gorgeous Grunge card all sponged up with Crumb Cake and Baked Brown Sugar. And a doily. Don’t forget the doily.
Seriously, though – this is a beautiful card. I love the peaceful feel of all your cards.
