When you are a Stampin Up! Demonstrator you get a magazine in the mail every other month called Stampin Success. This magazine is full of ideas and techniques to make different things such as cards, scrapbook pages and 3D items. Last month they showed us how to make this star burst card. It was really easy to do and I love how it looks.
The first thing you do is to cut a piece of copy paper (the paper needs to be thin) 4 x 5.25. Then you draw a square on the place where you want your sentiment to go. I just used a B Clear Block and traced around it.
Then you take a ruler and draw a line from one corner to the other making sure you pass through the square you drew. Move your ruler about an inch and draw another line making sure your intersect the two lines inside your box. Keep doing this until you have gone all the way around your paper.
Cut out every other section all the way around.
Place your stencil over a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamp it. I used Festive Flurry with Pool Party Ink.
Place your sentiment over the square making sure you cover your drawn box. I used the stamp set called Merry Little Christmas over a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.
This is a great tutorial, Susan. Very easy to follow. Pretty card, too!
