Emboss Resist Technique

DSC01945

I used an old/new technique while making this card.  It is called Emboss Resist and has been around for a long time (hence the old) but I have never done it before (which is the new part).  I used a Photopolymer Stamp Set called Another Thank You.  I stamped it in Versamark and then used Clear Embossing Powder over the top.  Then I put a couple of drops of ink using the ink refills (Soft Sky, Coastal Cabana & Bermuda Bay) on a plastic container and used my Aqua Painter to paint over the embossed sentiment.  The ink will not stick to the embossed part so the words show through.  I made the frame using our Oval Collection Framelits and just tied a bow of Linen Thread on the side.
