I needed a thank you card for a man. We all know how hard that is. There are only so many sets you can use. You can’t have ribbon or bows. You can’t have buttons or bling. It has to be “manly” colors. It is a tough thing to do.
I decided to get my an old stamp set (but still current) called By The Tide. Actually, I hope this set never retires. I was sad when By The Seashore retired but at least we still had this one. Of course, if you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that I am always sad when stamp sets retire. The Designer Series Paper I used for this card is from the Neutrals Color Collection and the sentiment is from the stamp set called One Big Meaning. Everyone should own this set. It thanks people seven different ways. It is all you ever need for thank you cards.
I went to visit Madelyn last weekend. I hadn’t seen her for a little over a month. I was so surprised at how much she has grown! The best part is she has the greatest smile. Rob and I picked her up at day care and when she saw us she had the biggest smile on her face. It was awesome!

Whenever I see that you have posted something with the By The Tide stamp set, I look forward to it eagerly. That is a set for me that is an old standby as well. I always love to see new ideas with it. Pinterest also has many, if you ever get stuck. 🙂 Thanks for your loyalty to that set! P.S., how far are you guys from Madelyn?

Awh, thanks Karin! We love exactly 6 hours from Madelyn. Not too far but far enough not to be able to go every weekend (which I am sure Madelyn’s parents are happy about!) 🙂
