Reflection Technique Card

Lovely As A Tree, Sheltering Tree

This is the second card we did at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a couple of techniques that are fun to do.  The first technique is called Reflection.  To do this is very simple.  First you stamp the regular image.  We used the trees from the stamp set called Lovely As A Tree.  Then you stamp it again onto a window sheet.  Turn the window sheet upside and line it up with the bottom of your stamped image and rub the ink onto your cardstock.  It comes out a little lighter and a litter blurry so it looks like a reflection in water.

The second technique we used on this card is masking.  I cut a circle out of Post-It note paper and placed it on the card where I wanted to moon to be.  Then we sponged Soft Sky ink over the top of the trees.  When you pull the Post-It Note off you can see the circle.  You do this again on the bottom of the card only this time we dragged the sponge over the reflection to make it look more like water.

It was fun to make and pretty easy too!
