Today is another Stamp Off Challenge. When the three of us first started this we had decided to just do it occasionally. Now it seems like we do a challenge every Friday (which is ok by me). We are having fun and that is what counts. The best part is that none of us know what the other two are doing so it is a surprise for us too.
This week we have an Embossing Folder Challenge where we have to stamp with an Embossing Folder. This because a really popular technique when Stampin’ Up! came out with the Woodlands Embossing Folder. In any case, I decided to combine my new Watercolor Class Techniques with this challenge. For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, I am taking a Watercolor Class for Card Makers and love it!
I first made my watercolor background using Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango. After that dried, I inked up the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and “stamped” it on the card. All you do is put your piece of cardstock inside the Embossing Folder, close it and press down.
Now check out what amazing projects Jackie made HERE and Buffy made HERE! See you next week!
Susan, what a cool technique!! That watercolor background is beautiful, and then the triangle over is wonderful. It gives such a nice “pattern” to the watercolor!
GORGEOUS, Susan! I love that you combined the two techniques – and those colors are beautiful together.
Now that is super neat! What a great idea to do something to the cardstock BEFORE stamping and oressing with the embossing folder. Genius.
Oops ‘pressing’ not ‘oressing’
