A Stamp Off New Year

It is hard to believe it is Friday again so soon.  I am not sure where all the time goes but it sure flies!  Friday is always my favorite day of the week because it is when Buffy, Jackie and I do our Stamp Off Challenges.

This week Buffy gave us a New Year’s theme challenge.

december-30

I actually had a hard time with this one.  I don’t really have any stamp sets that say Happy New Year but then I remembered that you can use other sayings to celebrate the holiday.

Hello You, Large Numbers, Balloon Adventures, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

The “happy” came from a set of Thinlits called Hello You and the numbers are a must have set of Framelits called Large Numbers.  Everyone needs that set because it can be used for so many occasions (graduations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc.).  The “let’s celebrate” and the banner are a stamp from a set that will be in the 2017 Occasions Catalog called Balloon Adventures.  It is such a fun set.  Of course, you have to have some sparkle on New Years so I used the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

Now let’s go check out what Buffy and Jackie did with this challenge.  I am sure their creations will be awesome, as usual!

  1. Susan, you did a lovely job! I didn’t have any supplies that were directly related to new years, or numbers, so just went with new rubbah. Lovely card, esp with that BB Glimmer paper. I love that with black

  2. Great card, Susan! I may CASE and send a few out since I missed sending Christmas cards. Funny that you’re the one who took the “traditional” route. Glad you did, though; your card is awesome. Love that BB glimmer paper. Don’t you just LOVE that color? 🙂

  3. Fabulous card for the new year, Susan! Great combination of stamps and dies – love how you snuck in a piece of the new Balloon Adventures set 🙂 Wishing you all the best for 2017, Susan! As the Scots say – ‘Lang may yer lum reek!’
