It is Friday ~ my favorite day of the week! It is the day Buffy, Jackie and I participate in our Stamp Off Challenge. This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge (which is also my favorite challenge). I find sketch challenges the easiest because all you need to do it fit your stamps and paper into the sketch.
Here is my card:
I used a new stamp set called High Tide to make this card. It is a set that is in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. The lighthouse is a two step stamp. This is when you stamp once with one stamp and then stamp again with another stamp over the first one. It makes the image look kind of 3D. The sentiment is from Birthday Banners which coordinates with the the Framelits called Bunch Of Banners. The “water” is Designer Series Paper called By The Shore.
Now let’s go over to see what Jackie and Buffy made. I always love to see how they interpret one of our challenges.

I love the lighthouse in blue. This is such a peaceful and beautiful card. I can almost hear seagulls.

Oh Susan, the lighthouse is perfect for this sketch. I love it. This is my style card because I have debated getting the lighthouse but was uncomfortable about creating a “scene” or background to go with the card. This is an excellent way to use the image, without the worry about filling out the entire card front.

Ok, I’ll tell you right now, Susan – I’m going to CASE your card! It’s gorgeous – the sketch is perfect! Can you tell me which blues you used? Or did you just stamp off once with Dapper Denim? And I really need to get that By the Shore DSP…..you’re such an enabler! 🙂
