Sunsets At The Cottage

As you know we bought a cottage this year and we have been enjoying it more than I ever imagined I would.  It is just such a bright and sunny place to be.  The view is awesome and the sunsets are unbelievable.  This is what we see almost every night.

Then later this happens.

Rob suggested I try to make a card using these photos.  There is no way I could capture this in a card.  I am not that talented but here is my third try (no, you are not going to see the first two because they ended up in the garbage!).

The first couple of times I tried it I sponged but it just didn’t turn out quite right.  I decided to get out my Aqua Painters and try it on Watercolor Paper.  It worked much better that way.  I used Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach.  That is a lot of colors but that is how many colors I can see during our sunsets.  The stamps are from Colorful Seasons.

  1. Gorgeous card, Susan! Your watercolouring skills are amazing! I’ve been enjoying seeing the beautiful views and sunsets you’ve been sharing (and being a bit envious, too!) 🙂
