Hello everyone! Thanks for joining us again on our bi-weekly Stamp Off Challenge. This week we have a color challenge.
Now, I am not sure if Buffy or Jackie gave us these colors but I do have to admit I had a hard time using them. They are definitely outside of my comfort zone but after a lot of trial and error, I managed to make this card.
I used the stamp set called Bike Ride. This set has matching Framelits called Build a Bike and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. The thing I love about this set is there is a matching Framelit for every piece of the bike. Plus, the stamp set is a two-step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make an image. For example, the flower outline is one stamp, the flowers are another and the leaves are a third. When I was making this card, I tried a bunch of different color combinations for the bike. This one seemed to work the best.
Then I needed to work on the background. I tried it with just plain cardstock but it looked too boring. Then I tried using an Embossing Folder but it didn’t quite look right so I decided to use the Embossing Paste with the brick Decorative Mask. I like how that turned out much better.
The sentiment is from Eastern Beauty.
Now let’s go see how Buffy and Jackie did with this color combination.

Great card, Susan! You definitely mastered the colors. The embossing paste is perfect, and I love the Lemon Lime Twist bike with the Melon Mambo tassels. So cute!

Oh Susan, this is a wonderful card. The bit of embossing paste brick wall behind the bike makes the whole card. It really makes that cute bike shine!

You nailed it with the embossing paste brick wall, Susan! This card really pops, but not overwhelmingly with the bright colours. Love it!
