Today is my friend, Laura’s birthday. Laura is a member of my stamp club. She is an amazing stamper and makes the most beautiful cards. She is a clean and simple stamper like I am only she just does it better. I think I need to talk her into starting a blog so she can share her creations.
I made this birthday card for Laura using the stamp set in the 2018 Occasions Catalog called Birthday Wishes For You. You already know I love big giant fonts so I knew I would buy this set as soon as I saw it. You can leave it blank or you could color it in using Stampin’ Write Markers or Stampin’ Blends. I stamped it once on Whisper White and then again on Lemon Lime Twist. Then I cut out the banner part and put it on the card using a Mini Dimensional.
The party horn is from the stamp set called Picture Perfect Birthday. This set is also in the Occasions Catalog. It is a two-step stamp set where two or more stamps make an image. I love two-step stamps because you don’t need to color each section. You can just tap them in an ink pad and put them together. The party horn I made actually uses four different stamps.
The Designer Series Paper is called Picture Perfect Party and is a 6″ x 6″ paper stack.
Happy Birthday, Laura! I hope you have an awesome day!

Beautiful card, Susan. I need tips on making that party blower look real. Mine looks…well, not like a party blower. Any hints?

Funny you should ask that. I saw another card using the blower and they put the fluffy part of it facing the other way so I thought maybe I did it upside down!
