Blossoming Basket

Blossoming Basket is part of a Bundle that is available to get for free with a qualifying order. It comes with a gorgeous, new Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder called Basket Weave. To make this card, I first stamped the basket in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I wanted to use my Stampin’ Blends which are alcohol based so you need to use a water-based ink so it doesn’t smear. Memento is a water based ink. Next I colored the roses using the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Then I added a little color around the outside of the petals using the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. When I was younger, my father was a terrific gardener. He had the most beautiful gardens. One of them was filled with beautiful roses. His favorite (and mine) was a rose called Peace. This rose had yellow petals with a pink around the edges. I decided to fill the basket with Peace roses.

Next I colored the basket using the Light and Dark Smoky Slate Blends. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Beautiful Bouquet.
