Super Duper

Today is my son, Sam’s birthday.  Sam has grown into an amazing man (it is hard to say your son is a man!).  Rob and I are very proud of him.  He is an amazing cardiologist, who is finally going to be done with his schooling on June 30th and get a real job!  He is an awesome father to Madelyn and Nolan and he is just a really nice guy.  It is hard to believe that he is 34 today.  I am not sure how that happened so quickly but it is true.

I made this card using the stamp set called Super Duper.  I love this set because the sentiments are all big and as you know, I love big sentiments.  I stamped the “YAY!” in Bermuda Bay and then cut it out using the Layering Circle Dies.  I cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using the Stitched Shaped Dies.  I stamped the balloons in Pacific Point and cut them out by hand.  As you know I am not fond of fussing cutting but I think I did pretty well with these balloons.  Luckily they aren’t complicated shapes.

The Designer Series Paper is called Bubbles & Fuzz.  It is part of the Sale-a-bration Catalog which means you can get it for free with a qualifying order!

Here is a picture of Sam and Madelyn at their first Father-Daughter Dance.  I am not so sure about the beard but I guess he is too old to ask him mom about it.

Happy birthday, Sam.  I hope you have an awesome day!  Your dad and I love you.

  1. That is just the most precious picture of Sam and Madelyn. I may have to add that it is hard to say which is the greatest accomplishment…. completion of school or that beautiful child.
