I was introduced to stamping and the world of Stampin’ Up! by a friend of mine. She asked me if I wanted to come to a stamping party she was having at her house. I said yes because she was a friend but in my mind I was rolling my eyeballs and dreading it. I am not big on these kinds of parties but I agreed to go so I did. We made one simple card andI immediately fell in love with the whole thing. This is something I could do! I bought two colors of cardstock (Whisper White and Real Red) a heart stamp set and Real Red and Basic Black ink. My friend invited me to her club meeting and I immediately started buying everything the catalog! The club kind of fell apart after a few years and my friends talked me into continuing it. That was in 2008
I have been a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator ever since. It is hard to believe that it has been ten years since I started. My club is still going strong with some of the original and some new members. I have to say they are an awesome group. They are so talented.
Every month I give them a challenge to do. Usually it is a sketch challenge but sometimes it is a theme. April’s challenge was a sketch one. Here it is:
Here are the cards some of my club members made:
Aren’t they just amazing?!? I love every single one of them!
Here is to another ten years!
