Animal Outing

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting last night.  We used the stamp set called Animal Outing.  I got this set for free at the Stampin’ Up! OnStage in April.  OnStage is a convention that only Demonstrators can go to.  It is so much fun and you get a lot of free merchandise when you go.  Right now Stampin’ Up! is having a special when you join.  For $99 you get to choose $125 worth of any current products AND you also get ten free ink pads!  That is a $75 value alone!  Click on the Join Now button to the right of this post.

Animal Outing has matching Framelits called Animal Friends and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

I know this card looks pretty plain and simple but it has a fun aspect to it that you can’t really see from the picture.  First, we stamps the Rhino in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock.  Then we stamped just the head of the Rhino onto another piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and cut it out using the Animal Friends Framelits.

Now the fun part!  We attached the head of the Rhino to the body using a Mini Spring I purchased online. It has adhesive on the top and the bottom and it makes the head wiggle when you touch it.  The Mini Spring looks like this:

The Designer Series Paper we used is called Nature’s Poem.  Remember during the month of July you can buy three Designer Series Paper packs and get one free.

  1. Very fun card! The dsp special is for the month of July, not January. I know it was probably either really early, or really late, but you may want to correct that for your customers.:)
