Good morning everyone! Today is another day for a Stamp Off Challenge. This time we have a theme card. We can make a card (or project) with a beach theme. My favorite place in the world is a tropical beach so it was not hard for me to get into this theme.
Here is my card:
To make this card I used a couple of different stamp sets. First I stamped the sand using the stamp set called High Tide in Crumb Cake. The then tore (yes, Buffy I really did!) the piece of cardstock so it looked a little uneven as sand might. Then I stamped the sea grass and the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink. I used Bermuda Bay ink for the water and Crumb Cake for the seagulls on Coastal Cabana cardstock. The chair is from a set of Thinlits called Seasonal Layers. I love that Stampin’ Up! throws in miscellaneous dies sometimes. The sentiment and the drink (I used Calypso Coral) are from Colorful Seasons stamp set which match the Seasonal Layers dies.
Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made. We don’t show each other our creations before we post so it is always a surprise to see what amazing things they make.

Oh Susan, this is lovely. I love the combination of sets that you’ve used. You can almost feel the waves crashing. I LOVE the torn layer for the sand, which adds so much interest to the card.

This card makes me smile, Susan! I can smell the sea air. Like Jackie, I love the torn layer; it’s a very nice touch. And ir’s funny that your card is kind of a cross between Jackie’s and mine. We must have all been dreaming at the same time!

A perfect beach scene! A combination of tame (a chair to sit in, & drink to sip) and wild – the birds & waves in the background. Love it! 🙂
