Watercolor Wash Challenge

Good morning everyone.  Today is Friday which means it is time for another BS&J Productions Stamp Off Challenge!  Today’s challenge is to make a Watercolor Wash Background.

Here is my card:

To Make this card I started with a piece of Shimmer White Paper.  If you have never tried Shimmer White Paper, you really need to.  It is a bit thicker than regular cardstock and has a slight shimmer to it which is actually beautiful.  It is great for any kind of watercoloring.  I squeezed some ink (Coastal Cabana, Lemon Lime Twist and Gorgeous Grape) into the lids of the corresponding ink pad cover.  Then I took my Aqua Painter, added a couple of drops of water into the ink and then spread it over the Shimmer Paper.  After I had done this with all three colors I then dripped some water over the top of it to add the water spots.

The sentiment is a die called Thank You Thinlits.  I cut this out inn Basic Black cardstock. I felt like it needed more so I added the Droplets from the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets.  These are in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

Now, let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made.

  1. This is definitely a “WOW!” card, Susan. I love the colors, the drops of water are perfect, and the epoxy drops mimic the water drops beautifully. It all makes such a gorgeous backdrop for the sentiment and a very stunning card.
