This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting. If you have been following my blog for a while now you will know I am not a fan of Halloween. I won’t go into the reasons today except to say too much candy, kids too wild, sugar meltdowns, snow and rain. That about covers it. In any case, once in a while I see a Halloween stamp set and/or punch that I think is adorable and end up buying. Plus, now that I have grandchildren, I can send them Halloween cards and not have to deal with any of those reasons I listed above.
Spooky Sweets is one of those stamp sets. I love the matching Spooky Bats Punch and considered getting that alone but the bats were so cute in the stamp set and I love the cloud or haze stamp (I am not sure what to call it).
This card was very easy to make. I first stamped the bats in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and punched them out. I cut the “moon” using my Layering Circle Framelits in Mango Melody and then stamped the haze over it with Basic Gray Ink. Then I stamped the haze onto Gorgeous Grape cardstock and adhered the moon and bats over that. The sentiment was stamped in Mango Melody ink and punch out using the Darling Label Punch. This punch is part of a kit that has matching stamps, ink spots, a clear block and a gorgeous metal box.

Terrific Hallowe’en card, Susan! I love those bats. I’m with you – I ‘did’ Hallowe’en for my boys when they were little, but the fun has gone out of it now they’re grown. But they enjoy it with their friends, so the circle of life is continuing as it should! LOL 😉

This is so cute, Susan. I don’t “do” Halloween either – for most of your reasons (except snow – although it did snow one year on Halloween). We buy lots of candy, turn the lights off and eat the candy. Your card is adorable.

I agree on Halloween. I don’t do it either. I don’t buy Halloween sets any more, but this card is darling. This is the one bundle that I find very tempting!
