Pop Of Petals

Pop of Petals is a stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2018/2019 Annual Catalog.  It has a matching punch called Four Petal Flower and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  There are five different flowers and a butterfly in the stamp set that this punch cuts out.

To make this card I first stamped the flowers in Highland Heather, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo and Coastal Cabana and then punched them out.  The I cut five stitched squares out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Eastern Beauty.  I know it is hard to see but I embossed the background using the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The ribbon is the 1/4″ Mini Striped Ribbon in Gorgeous Grape.

Last week I had a busy traveling week.  First Rob and I flew to Nashville to visit my grandchildren, Madelyn and Nolan.  Nolan turned one!  Can you believe that?!?  It seems he was just born a few months ago.  I have to say he is the sweetest boy ever.  He rarely cries and smiles and giggles a lot.  When he knows he is going to do something he is not supposed to (like climb the stairs), he crawls in that direction and giggles the entire way.  He is adorable.

Madelyn is three and is growing up so fast.  When Sam was in high school he was a great soccer player.  He even won the North Country Star Soccer player his senior year.  Sam has decided that Maddie is going to play soccer so he enrolled her in a league.  Well, this is not going so well.  She mostly just cries and doesn’t want to play.  He has a lot of years to work on this though.  She looks happy here.

After a few days I rented a car and drove to Alabama to see my other granddaughter, Emory.  Emy is 19 months old and has the best smile ever.  She loves boats which makes her grandfather very happy!

Thanks for letting me show off my grandkids.  Being a grandparent is the best “job” I have ever had!
