One of the things we talked about at OnStage a couple of weeks ago is about the different kinds of stampers. There are three categories. The first is the beginner stamper. This person may have stamped a little before but they don’t really own any products and they are not quite sure how to even start. Stampin’ Up!® challenged us to think about beginner stampers and to make simple, one layer cards that a beginner could easily do and enjoy.
One of the stamps set we received for free while we were there is called Humming Along. It is a new Cling Stamp. Let me tell you. These stamps cling to the block! You are going to love them. Here is what the set looks like.
This set is perfect for the beginner stamper (and all the other stampers too! I). It can make simple cards, yet even the avid stamper will like it. You can make thank you, birthday and get well soon cards using this set. This set also has matching dies and you will be able to save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. Of course, I didn’t use the dies on this card.
Here is a card I made using this stamp set for the beginner stamper.
I think this is a very simple, easy to make card, but elegant at the same time. I used the Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes. These are great because they are pre-cut and already to be stamped. I stamped the flower and sentiment in Night Of Navy Ink. Then I colored around the flower using a Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and colored the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend.
If you are a beginner stamper there are so many products you can purchase through Stampin’ Up!® where you can make beautiful cards without a lot of supplies. This particular stamp set will not be available until January 3rd but there are so many you can choose now.

Oh, Susan! This is gorgeous. I know it’s “simple,” but it doesn’t look it at all!
