Florentine Filigree is a gorgeous stamp set that is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. It has a matching die called Florentine Thinlits Die. You can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.
I have to tell you I learned a lot about the Stamparatus, Hinge Stamping and making this card. Hinge Stamping is when you move the plates of the Stamparatus down so things line up well. If you look closely you can see that I did not do a great job lining up the stamps with the die. I have to admit this is totally my fault. First of all, I was in a hurry. I didn’t have a lot of time to stamp. I should have just gone and done what I was supposed to do instead of trying to make a card quickly. That is lesson one. Secondly, two magnets are there for a reason. I was going along pretty well using one magnet with the bigger of the stamps. Then the last time I stamped, the cardstock moved and I lost my place. Sigh. I tried to line it up again but it just didn’t work. The moral of this story is, use two magnets. Two will hold down the cardstock perfectly. One – not so much.
Even though I messed it up, I decided to post it anyway. First of all, I hope to prevent other stampers from being in a hurry and only using one magnet. Then I decided to show it also because I love the colors. I used Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Pumpkin Pie. I love how it turned out even though it isn’t lined up perfectly. As I say to my new stampers when they mess up “the person who receives this card is not going to look at it and see the mistakes. They are just going to be awed that you took the time to make a card and send it to them”.
The moral of the story is don’t be like Susan. Take your time and do it the right way.
Here is video showing you how to use this the correct way. In this video he uses one magnet. Don’t listen to him. Use two!

I’ve learned the 2 magnet lesson as well, Susan! (even then, sometimes the paper moves). Your card is still lovely – great colour combination 🙂

You are so funny. This is a beautiful card, and if you hadn’t pointed it out, most people would never have seen that it’s a tinch off. We are simply awed by the beauty of your creations, and anyone who stares at them to find mistakes doesn’t deserve a handmade card. They should get a store bought one. From a box that cost $1 for eight cards.
