Dragonfly Dreams

I love making cards that are monochromatic but then add a pop of color to it.   I used the stamp set called Dragonfly Dreams to make this card.  This stamp set has matching dies called Detailed Dragonflies.  Both of them are in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.

To make this card, I first stamped the dragonfly in random places using Basic Gray.  Then I cut the top piece of the dragonfly from Coastal Cabana cardstock and the bottom piece from Blueberry Bliss cardstock and adhered them together.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Itty Bitty Birthdays in Blueberry Bliss ink.  This stamp set is a must have from the 2019 Occasions Catalog.  There are sixteen stamps in the set all with the birthday theme.  I cut the sentiment out using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies (of course!).

  1. I love the Coastal Cabana and Blueberry Bushel with the Basic Gray. So striking! That pop of color just, well, pops! Great card! (? – did you sponge arund the Basic Gray dragonflies, or is that card stock or DSP? Can’t tell on this silly laptop.)

  2. I agree, I love this monochromatic card with pop of color. It does such a nice job of highlighting the focal image. You are rocking those rectangles, too.
