A couple of weeks ago I showed you how to make quick and easy cards in five minutes that anyone would appreciate giving. I decided after doing that series I would make a couple of cards for the more advanced stamper who has more time and more supplies. Stampin’ Up!® calls them Avid Stampers. These are people who have to own everything and do a lot of stamping. I call them obsessive stampers! I can call them that because I am one of them. Whenever a new catalog comes out, I have to hold myself back from buying everything at once. It is a tough thing to do!
To make this card I used a new stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog called Birthday Cheer. This stamp set has some awesome dies called Detailed Birthday Edgelits. You can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle. One of the dies in this Bundle cuts out the gifts at the bottom of my card all at once. I just think this die is adorable. Another one in the set cuts out an edge of cupcakes which is just as cute.
The colors I used for this card are Lemon Lime Twist (oh I am going to miss this one so much when it retires in May!!), Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel. I cut out the presents die in both Blueberry Bushel and Balmy Blue. I attached the Blueberry one to the piece of Lemon Lime cardstock and then filled in the various pieces from the Balmy Blue piece. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.

This is such a bright and happy card, Susan! I love it – and it’s perfect for anyone. (I would NEVER have thought to put these colors together. So fun!) Just for the record – there are lots of times I see a card on your blog and say, “Oh, I have to make that.” This time, too, but my card tomorrow was made and planned before I saw this.

That happens all the time with me. You think you have an original idea and then you see it online somewhere. I can’t wait to see your creation!

What a fun card – I love how you alternated the paper piecing in the presents 🙂
