This was a fun tropical card to make. I am ready for warmer weather but because I live in Northern New York I can’t expect it to get nice until July. There is a saying up here. We have two seasons – Winter and July. This winter has been long, cold and snowy and I need sunshine.
Anyway, to make this card, I first stamped the big sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut it out using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I also cut out a piece of Granny Apple Green Cardstock using the next size up. I love these Framelits because they are a little different than your normal stitched dies. There is stitching on the inside and outside of each cut. You can see this if you look closely at the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper I used. I cut a rectangle out and it left a line of stitching around the outside. Then I stamped the smaller sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossing it with my Heat Tool and White Embossing Powder. Then I cut that out using the Classic Label Punch. I layered all of this together and then popped it up using some Foam Adhesive Strips. This gave the card a little dimension.

Another lovely card Susan. I really like the way that you’ve embedded all of the frames
Great card, Susan! It feels so warm and sunny. Hopeing you get some sunshine and warmer temps soon! (Before July!!)
A bright , breezy card – just what we need! My friend’s cruise ship just sailed into Orlando yesterday – she got sunburned and said “it’s too hot”. I told her no complaining allowed!! LOL
