Good Morning Magnolia

One of my favorite stamp sets in the new Stampin’ Up!® 2019/2020 Annual Catalog is called Good Morning Magnolia.  I am not from the south but I always loved Magnolia trees when they were in bloom.  This stamp set also has matching dies called Magnolia Memory.  Both of these products are part of a suite called Magnolia Lane.  The suite also includes the Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder, Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper Magnolia Lane Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes, Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack, ribbon and embellishments.  All of these products go together to make beautiful cards.

To make this card I first stamped the large Magnolia in Smoky Slate Ink onto Whisper White cardstock and colored it using Dark and Light Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Blends.  Then I cut it out using the matching die.  I cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Smoky Slate cardstock diagonally and them embossed it using the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder.  I added a small strip of Calypso Coral cardstock along the diagonal side and attached then to the Petal Pink card base.  Lastly, I cut the word “thanks” from the set of dies called Well Written.

Although I did not use all the products in the Magnolia Lane Suite, I have listed them below for you.  The Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder is 148579 (for some reason it was not available to link below when I wrote this post).

  1. Jeepers Susan this is beautiful. I love the layout and the color combination, which is one I would not have come up with

  2. Beautiful card! I love the colour combination (it’s one I wear frequently!) Magnolias seem to be everywhere in stamps right now – I better get on the bandwagon. There are some stunning magnolia trees in our neighbourhood – I wish I were brave enough to plant one
