Here’s A Card

Here’s A Card is a new stamp set that is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019/2020 Annual Catalog.  It is a sentiment only stamp set that has sentiments for the outside and inside of your cards.  I love the different fonts it uses because they are simple and elegant.

To make this card I first cut a strip of the new Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper in the Blueberry Bushel Color.  This DSP is amazing.  It is bright and shiny and comes in great patterns.  I also cut two small strips from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets in Old Olive and put them on either side of the first strip I cut.  You can mix and match both of these packs of paper because they use the same colors.  The Specialty paper has a pattern and the Foil Sheets are plain.

Then I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink and cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I layered that with an oval cut using the Layering Ovals Dies and an Old Olive Foil Sheet.  Lastly I cut the leaves out using the Animal Friends Dies.

Last week my son, Sam and his wife, Tara, and two of my grandchildren Madelyn and Nolan  spent a week with us at the cottage.  We had so much fun.  We spent a lot of time in the water swimming, boating and jet skiing but also took a day and went to Old McDonald’s Farm and Boldt Castle.  Here are some pictures to share with you.

  1. Your card is fabulous, Susan! I love the foil DSP and the beautiful layout. The pictures are adorable. What cuties. One looks like she might be a little daredevil! She doesn’t look like she’s afraid of anything.

  2. Gorgeous card – the foil really adds to brighten the blue. Those pictures, though! Such fun with the family. I can’t believe how big the cuties are now – it seems like just last year it was baby photos!
