Emma & Friends

If you have been reading my blog for a while you know about Emma.  She was the sweetest dog ever.  She was my buddy, confidante (she never told anyone the secrets), my stamping companion and ghost finder.  Yes, I am saying was.  Sadly, Emma passed away a couple of weeks ago.

I have to say though, that becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator was one of the best decisions I ever made.  I met so many people through stamping that have become wonderful friends.  I met these amazing women through my classes and club, stamping conventions and my BFF Buffy through an online forum for Demonstrators.  I met wonderful, talented people I would never had met without this crazy hobby of mine so when some of them found out about Emma they sent me beautiful cards (some homemade and some not).  Each one touched my heart and made me cry.  I thought I would share some of them with you.

This first one was made by Carol.  Isn’t just gorgeous?  Carol was new to stamping when I first met her at one of my club meetings and she has become amazing at it.  This one looks just like a painting.

This next one was made by Buffy.  Buffy is my hero.  She makes the most beautiful cards that I do a miserable job at copying.  She has such an eye for color and placement that totally escapes me.

Debby made this next one.  Debby’s card is so sweet.  She makes the best CAS (clean and simple) cards.  Each one is beautiful.

This last one was made by Laura.  Laura was an avid stamper before I even heard of this hobby.  She is so talented.  I wish I could stamp half as well as Laura.  She is the one who should be teaching classes (and me)!  Plus, Laura’s card is a fun fold, which everyone knows is my favorite.

I want to thank each and everyone of my wonderful friends for the beautiful cards whether they were homemade or not.  Each one touched me in a special way and helped me great through the loss of Emma.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Emma – thank you for your love, companionship  and the joy you gave me.  I’ll see you sometime in the future.

  1. Oh, Emma was beautiful! I’m so sorry, Susan. I know your stamp room – and home – will be lonely. These cards are lovely, though. Carol used one of my favorite sets (going to have to CASE); Debbie’s is perfect, and what a sweet fun fold from Laura! (And did you notice? – no ripping, crumpling, or sponging to give you hives!) Your post made me cry, though.
