This is one of the projects we made at my stamp class last week. It is a shadow box made with various Stampin’ Up!® products. You can buy the frame at Amazon or any other place that sells frames.
To make this I used the stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia and the matching dies called Magnolia Morning. You can buy both of those items in a Bundle and save 10%. The word “home” was cut out with the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies. I love the font of these dies. The Designer Series Paper I used is called Magnolia Lane.
The dimensions of this shadow box insert are as follows:
DSP background – 8″ x 8″
Petal Pink background is 7″ x 7″
Mossy Meadow background is 6.75″ x 6.75″
The Petal Pink behind the larger Magnolia flower is 4 1/8″ x 4 3/8″ and the Whisper White is 4″ x 4.25″
Each of the little squares are 2′ x 2″ ({Petal Pink) and 1 7/8″ x 1 7/8″ (DSP)
The “home: rectangle is 2″ x 4″ (Petal Pink) and 1 7/8″ x 3 7/8” (DSP
I used Dark and Light Petal Pink Blends to color the flowers and Dark & Light Mossy Meadow Blends to color the leaves.
PS: I am not sure why it looks crooked in the photo but in real life it is straight. A Photographer, I am not!

This shadow box is gorgeous, Susan! I love the layout and colours. (p.s. – the crooked problem is the angle you too the photo. I do it to myself all the time! 😛 )

Oh, this is gorgeous, Susan! What a perfect home decor project! Deborah is right. She actually talked me off the crooked ledge last week as well. Camera angles are very deceptive. You could NEVER have a crooked edge. Me, on the other hand…

Absolutely love this. Is there a rule of thumb you go by for each measurement of the panels? Looking for a good resource to help with measurements and layouts; I find this part challenging and need all the help I can get 🙂

Thank you, Sherri. I try to figure out what images I want to include in order to decide measurements and layouts. Sometimes I will cut image in scrap paper (without stamping it first) and play with it until I like the way it looks. Then you can cut the DSP to go behind it. I hope this helps.
