Beauty & Joy

Hello everyone.  Today we have another Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me.  This time we have a sketch challenge.  Jackie made the sketch using a card from the Stampin’ Up!® 2019/2020 Annual Catalog on page 140.  Here is the sketch.

Here is my card:

I decided to use a new stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Catalog that is available in September. Demonstrators were allowed to order items early from this catalog which is one of my favorite perks for being a Demo.  If you join during the month of August you get an extra $30 in products in your starter kit AND you can choose items from the Holiday Catalog.

The stamp set I used is called Beauty & Joy.  It is a DisINKtive stamp set which was developed by Stampin’ Up!® to show more depth.  If you look at the basket you can see how some of it is light and some is dark.  That is all done with one single stamp.  It is very cool.

The colors I used for this card are Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Shaded Spruce and Rococo Rose.  I stamped from the bottom up meaning I stamped the basket first, then the stems, leaves and finally the flowers.  I cut the image out using the Stitched Nested Label dies and layered it on top of another piece I cut out using these dies in Shaded Spruce. I stamped the sentiment is Versamark Ink and embossed it with White Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool.  I layered all of this one a piece of Whisper White cardstock I had embossed using the Basket Weave 3D folder.

Now let’s go see what Buffy and Jackie made using the sketch.  The probably followed it better than I did and made something incredible!

Join my team during the month of August and get an extra $30 in products of your choice in your starter kit.  For $99 you get to pick $155 worth of products!  Then you will also receive a $10 coupon code you can spend during the month of August. 1. First – Happy Birthday, Susan!! I hope your day is as special as you! Second – love your card! A pretty new stamp, & I like how you carried the basket weave into the background. 🙂
