Christmas Layers is a set of dies that are in the Holiday Catalog. They have a stamp set that is part of a Bundle called Itty Bitty Christmas (and you can save 10% if you purchase them in a Bundle) but I did not use the stamp set on this card. I love this set of dies. It cuts out the branch I used on this card as well as a snowflake background and a flower background. They are even more beautiful in person.
To make this card I first decided I wanted to make a different kind of card so I randomly cut the front of the Whisper White card base at an angle. Then I cut out the branch in Copper Foil and adhered it to the card front. It fit the angle perfectly (totally by accident!). This foil is absolutely gorgeous in person and it matches the Brightly Gleaming Special Designer Series Paper I used on the bottom of this card. This paper is favorite paper in the Holiday Catalog because it has beautiful colors (Night Of Navy in this case) mixed with copper foiling.
I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Cup Of Christmas in Versamark Ink and then embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool. I decided it needed a little something more so I took a piece of Copper Foil paper and attached it to the Whisper White card base. Then I put it in my Trimmer so it would be at the same angle as the card base. It was much easier to do it this way then try to replicate the first angle I cut.
