Flowering Blooms is a new stamp set that is part of a new bundle in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. This stamp set has matching dies called Flowering Dies. I have a small confession to make. I totally forgot it had matching dies until right now while I am writing this post. It is ok though. I still love how this card came out even if it is simple. It is actually a card that a beginner stamper can make with just ink, paper and stamps. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have this particular stamp set. You can use any stamp you have on hand.
Flowering Blooms is a DisINKtive Stamp set that was patented by Stampin’ Up! They are specially made stamps that create different opacities in a single stamp that give the image the look of a two-step stamp. It makes the image look a little 3D.
To make this card, I first stamped the flower in Seaside Spray Ink on Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Gray granite ink. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia. I love the font in this set. The Designer Series Paper is called Peony Garden and has just beautiful and soft designs included in it.
Last October we had a huge wind storm here in Northern New York. It knocked down trees and caused major flooding on the lakeshores. We lost our dock in this storm. It actually got lifted by the surge of water and deposited on a dock two houses down! We decided we had to do something different with our dock situation so we had the old one totally ripped out, the seawall rebuilt stronger and higher and we added temporary docks that can be pulled out every winter so we didn’t have to worry about them anymore. We finally finished this project in full last week.
The kids gave Rob the flag and flagpole for Christmas so adding that was the last step. We should be pretty safe if another storm happens again (hopefully not).

So delicate and pretty. I love this color combination

Such a gorgeous flower! (rose?) I love all the details. Your new dock looks fabulous – I hope that you don’t have to deal with another storm, any time soon!
