I decided I wanted to join the Slimline Card club because I received one in the mail from my friend, Char and I have seen so many of them online and love them all. A slimline card is thinner but longer than a regular A2 card. The one I made was 3.75″ x 8.5″. I have seen some that are a bit smaller and some that are a bit larger so you can basically make one in whatever size you wish. I did make an envelope for this card but I forgot to take a picture of it before I mailed it. I used the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper for the envelope because it had a lot of the colors I used on the card in it.
This card was pretty simple to make. I used the stamp set called Inspiring Iris which is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020/2021 Annual Catalog. I first stamped the stems and leaves in Granny Apple Green ink. Then I stamped the Irises in Mango Melody and the other flowers in Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade. I stamped the dragonflies in Highland Heather ink but I stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping the second time on my card to make them lighter in color. The dragonflies are from the stamp set called Friend Like You.
Lastly I added the sentiment using the Playful Alphabet Dies. You are going to see a lot of these dies in the future because I used them so much.
We all love gorgeous Designer Series Paper, and during this incredible sale, you can enjoy a 15% discount on select papers from the Stampin’ Up!® current catalogs! Now is a great time to stock up and save on some of our most popular paper designs! Check out my post tomorrow!
