Normally at Christmas time I make around 60 Christmas cards with one design. This year I decided to change it up and make various Christmas cards to send out. This is one of the cards I made. I love using non-traditional Christmas colors every once in a while, although the regular Christmas colors of red and green are also beautiful.
I made this card using the Pine Woods dies. These dies coordinate with the stamp set called In The Pines which is in the Stampin’ Up!® August – December Mini Catalog. If you buy the stamp set and the dies in a Bundle you can save 10%. One of the reasons I purchased this bundle is because it can be used all winter long and not just for Christmas. I just think it is a very soft set. The other reason I purchased this is because the dies have two snow drifts dies.
I first cut out the pine trees using the Pine Wood dies in Whisper White cardstock. I layered them on a Seaside Spray card base using Multipurpose Glue. This glue is great for adhering dies with smaller sections. I cut out the snow drift and adhered that on top of the trees. The sentiment is from the stamp set called Curvy Christmas. This set is not in any catalog but you can purchase it until January 3rd. Then it retires for good. I stamped it in Night of Navy ink. I felt like the card still needed something so I added the silver sequin (which I just realized as I am typing this that it must be retired).

This is gorgeous! I love the white and blue combination. Maybe if I show this to Mike, he’ll want it to be our card and I can justify buying another stamp set!!
