To being with, let me just say that I bought a new iPhone. I have always been an Android person. I love how you can customize everything on an Android phone and frankly, it just worked well for me but my older phone was dying and I needed a new one. I already have a MacBook (which I love) and Rob bought me an iPad a few years ago so I decided to try an iPhone. Why am I telling you this? Because I can’t figure out the camera settings. My Android was so easy. I just took a photo and the colors came out perfectly. Not so much with the iPhone. I guess I need to take a class on it or something so as I write this blog post, I know the colors on this card are not exactly correct. Please bear with me while I try to figure out why.
Edited: I watched a few videos. I took a 100+ photos (so it seemed). This photo is better than the original one I posted but still not quite right. It is a work in progress!
In any case, I made this card using the stamp set called Flowering Blooms. This stamp set is in the 2020/2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It has a set of coordinating dies called Flowering Dies and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.
I first stamped the image in Crumb Cake ink after stamping on a scrap piece of paper and then onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock without re-inking first. I wanted to get the “no lines” coloring look and this worked pretty well. Then I colored the flower using Petal Pink Stampin Blends in light and dark. I colored the darker Crumb Cake line with the dark Blend and the blank sections with the light Blend. I did the same thing with the leaves using Just Jade. Then I adhered a piece of a Foam Adhesive Sheet to the back and cut it out using the coordinating die. I love those Foam Adhesive Sheets. They are like a huge Dimensional so the entire image is popped up on your card. I tied a piece of Linen Thread around the stem before attaching it to another piece of Whisper White cardstock. The Designer Series Paper I used is Plaid Tidings. This DSP is retiring on January 4th so if you like it, you need to purchase it soon. It is one of my favorite DSP packs (thanks to Jackie).
So wish me luck on figuring out this camera thing! Hopefully the next photo will be better!

Susan, this is gorgeous! I have never been super impressed by the no-line watercoloring until now. Your flower is beautiful, and the coloring is perfect. If you figure out how to take awesome pictures with your iPhone, please let me know. (I’m ready to switch to Android.) A dear friend of mine always talked about my iCrap phone. I kind of agree with her, but hope you love yours. 🙂

Such a pretty card, and soft colours! I’ve found that colours in photos have more to do with the lighting, than the actual camera taking the picture (and I don’t have Photoshop, so just use my PC program for fixing).
