Perfectly Plaid & A Sneak Peek

Stampin Up Perfectly Plaid

Good Monday morning, everyone.  I hope those of you that experienced the storm last weekend have survived and stayed safe and warm.  We got a little rain from it in Tennessee, which is fine with me.

In case you haven’t noticed I have been making a lot of thank you cards lately.  This is because I needed a bunch to write thank you for the gifts this holiday season.  I looked through all my cards I have made and noticed I had very few.  A couple of months ago I had no birthday cards so I had to make a ton of those.  You would think I would be able to plan better and take turns making all different kinds instead of waiting.

I made this thank you card using the Pine Tree Punch.  This punch goes with the stamp set called Perfectly Plaid and is in the Stampin’ Up!® 2020/2021 Annual Catalog.  I didn’t use the stamp set this time though.  Instead I cut out the three trees using Designer Series Paper called Heartwarming Hugs.  This DSP is great for Christmas but can also be used year round.  It is only available until January 3rd and then will retire forever.  It is great all around paper.

I embossed the background Whisper White cardstock using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is also retiring on January 3rd.  I like how it gave some texture to the background of the card.  I punched out the stars in Crushed Curry cardstock using a retired border punch.

The sentiment is from a new stamp that is in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog called Many messages.  The stamp has a ton of sentiments all on one stamp.  It has a very large die that cuts them all out at the same time.  Some people have mentioned cutting the stamp apart and using them separately which is also a possibility.  I think it is great to stamp them and cut them out in various colors so you have a bunch of sentiments on hand.

I used my Stamparatus with the stamp so all the sentiments come out looking great.  Sometimes with a larger stamp you can miss putting ink is some places and you can just re-ink it and stamp it exactly in the same place using the Stamparatus.

This is the die.  See how it lines up perfectly with all the sentiments?

Now, I have a bunch of sentiments to use on cards when I need them.  I love this bundle (yes, if you buy the stamp and the die in a bundle you can save 10%).  I stamped them in black, red, and a bunch of other colors too.  It will be available to purchase on January 4th!
