Forever Fern

Stampin Up Forever Fern

This is a fun technique I saw online in a Gina K video.  It uses a technique where you use masking paper, Post-It Notes or some other sticky paper.  You rip a piece of this paper in half, place one piece at the top of  your cardstock and one at the bottom and then use Blending Brushes with different colored inks over the exposed area.  I decided to go with part of the Rainbow order of ROYGBIV so I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight ink.  I didn’t use the violet (or purple) because I ran out of room.

I love the new Blending Brushes because they work so well and the ink goes on very smoothly.  I bought enough to use one for each color family (meaning one for blue ink, one for green ink, etc.).  They blend the ink really well and I highly recommend them.  They are in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog on page 70.

After I did the blending of the ink, I removed the masking paper and stamped the images from Forever Fern in Memento Black ink.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Here’s A Card.  The card was very simple to make and I love how it turned out.

I layered everything on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and a card base of Daffodil Delight.
