Lots Of Hearts

Stampin Up Lots Of Heart

Almost everyday I make cards because I love to do it.  The thing is, I don’t send out many.  I have no idea why but that is how it has been.  During the past year, I realized that I can’t socialize with friends and I haven’t seen a lot of my family so I needed  to find a way to let them know I miss them and that I am thinking of them often.  This was my duh moment.  I can send them cards!  Why I didn’t think of the earlier, I have no idea but I have been sending them a lot lately.

This card is a perfect one I can use to send to someone to let them know I am thinking of them.  I used the stamp set called Lots Of Heart.  It has coordinating dies called Many Hearts.  Both are in the 2021 January – June Mini Catalog and will be retiring on May 3rd.  I think this set is great for Valentines but it can also be used year round because the sentiments also include “thank you”, “my heart smiles just thinking about you” and “sent with lots of love”.

To make this card, I first stamped the middle heart in Real Red Ink and cut it out using the coordinating die.  Then I cut out the Basic Black outline around the heart and the Basic White scalloped heart.  I layered that on top of a piece of True Love Designer Series Paper.  This DSP is great because it is all black and white and you can leave it the way it comes or color it using Stampin Blends.  This DSP will also be retiring on May 3rd.

I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Basic White scrap card stock and then cut out the ends by hand.  I adhered it to the card using Stampin’  Dimensionals.

  1. Susan I love your black and red color scheme. The inset hearts are wonderful with that background. I agree, I sit around and look at containers of cards and go “what am I saving them for?” I do keep some as samples or to remind me of a layout or technique, but I don’t need boxes of them!
