Color & Contour

Hello everyone!  It is, once again, time for another Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Buffy and me.  This time we needed to make a simple card. (#simplestamping).  We could only use stamps and ink.  I actually love simple stamping cards so this was fun to do.

I decided to use the stamp set called Color & Contour.  I really like the images in this set because they look kind of hand drawn.  The set is a two step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make one image.  I only used one stamp for all the images though.  By the way, this stamp set does have coordinating dies called Scalloped Contours, but again, I did not use them.

To make this card I first stamped the flowers in Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabanas.  I think this colors look so summery together.  As you can see, I only stamped the inside of the flowers and not the outlines.  Then I stamped the outline of the leaves and the splatters in Granny Apple Green ink.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Best Year.  I stamped that in Memento Black Ink.  Then I just backed it with a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock on a Daffodil Delight card base.

Now, let’s go see what stamping only card Jackie and Buffy made.  I am sure they will be beautiful!

  1. Susan, I LOVE the idea that you didn’t use the two step stamps. That colorful cluster is so cheery, and looks great without the outlines. I love that happy color combination that you used!
