Color & Contour

Stampin Up Color & Contour

This is the second card we made at our stamp club meeting last week.  It uses the Color & Contour stamp set along with the coordinating dies called Scalloped Contours.  These dies are the best!  They cut out five different scalloped shapes with stitching as well as a scalloped border and two dies that cut out the flowers in the stamp set.  If you buy the stamp set and the dies in a bundle, you can save 10%.

To make this card, I first cut out the large scalloped rectangle in Basic White card stock.  Then I ran it through the Cut & Emboss machine using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder to add a little texture to the background of the card.  Then I cut out the smaller scalloped rectangle in Fresh Freesia cardstock and layered both of these on a Fresh Freesia card base.  I stamped the flower in Memento Black Ink on a piece of Basic White card stock. The Color & Contour stamp set is a two step stamp set which means it takes two or more stamps to make an image.  I used the second stamp to add color to the flowers using Fresh Freesia ink.  Then I used a Soft Succulent Stampin Blends to color the leaves.  I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink and then adhered the Genial Gems to add a little sparkle to the card.

  1. That flower is just lovely with the scalloped rectangle. So simple yet so stunning. I really like that sentiment with it as well
