Hello everyone! It is time for another BS & J Productions Stamp Off Challenge. This time our challenge was to use our Blending Brushes. I have to say I had a hard time with this challenge. I have used the Blending Brushes to make a simple splash of color behind another image but have never really used them in a big way. After literally throwing out four different designs I finally came up with this card.
To make this card I started with a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink. I started at the bottom of the piece of cardstock and brushed the ink heavier at the bottom and lighter at the top. Then I used Pacific Point ink and did the same thing. I did both of these things a couple of times until the ink was blended better. Then I cut out the fish from the set of dies called Sea Life in Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight card stock and the seaweed in Pool Party cardstock. These dies are part of the Seascape Bundle. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Plentiful Plants in Pacific Point ink. Lastly I added some Elegant Faceted Gems.
Now let’s go see what Jackie and Buffy made using their Blending Brushes. I hope they had an easier time that I did!

Wow Susan, I didnt’ realize that you were not a fan of the blending brushes. Your card is wonderful. I love the ombre effect that you have created for those little fish

It is not that I am not a fan. I just can’t do it well. It always looks blotchy to me.

BEAUTIFUL!!! I would never have known you had trouble. This is gorgeous. Did you emboss before you blended? It looks embossed (and really cool!).
