One of my favorite suites in the 2021 July – December 2021 Mini Catalog is called Painted Christmas. This HUGE suite includes two stamp sets called Christmas Season and Christmas To Remember, two coordinating dies called Seasonal Labels and Christmas Pinecones, Gold Holly Leaves, Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon and Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper. The stamp sets are gorgeous with beautiful two step pinecones and other images, sentiments, all kinds of leaves and so much more. The dies cut all of that out plus there are a variety of label dies to cut out sentiments and dies to make multi-layer pinecones. Plus there are two background dies that layer together. It is all just gorgeous!
To make this card, I first cut pieces of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Series Paper for the background. Then I tied a piece of the 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon in Soft Succulent around the background and adhered it to a Soft Succulent card base. Next I stamped the sentiment which is from the Best Year stamp set and cut it out using one of the label dies from the Seasonal Labels set. The reason I did not use the Christmas To Remember set is because when I made my pre-order out of the catalog, I entered the wrong item number and ended up getting a different stamp bundle that I did not want. I had to exchange it (Stampin’ Up!® is great about exchanges) but since I was exchanging it for something in the Mini Catalog that was not live, I have to wait until August 3rd for them to mail it to me. Sigh
After that I stamped the leaves in Soft Succulent, the pine cone in Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake and the berries in Cherry Cobbler ink and layered them behind the sentiment. Lastly I add a few Cherry Cobbler Matte Decorative Dots.
I love this suite so you can expect to see lots of cards made with it on my blog!
