Stampin Up Merriest Moments

On Wednesday I showed you a card I made using the Merriest Moments stamp set and the coordinating Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder Bundle.  This is a fantastic bundle in the Stampin’ Up!® 2021 July-December Mini Catalog.  What makes it different is it includes an embossing folder that along with the dies, you can use together to make a beautiful background for your cards.  Wednesday’s card just showed you an example using the embossing folder as usual.  Today’s card shows you how you can cut and emboss at the same time.

To use both the dies and the embossing folder together all you need to do it line them up and run it through your Cut “n Emboss machine.  This first photo shows you how the outline die fits in the embossing folder.  You can add card stock and run it through your machine.

The photo below shows how you line up the more detailed die.  In this case you would put the cardstock in and then line up the die and run it through your machine.

For my card I first cut out the outline using Evening Evergreen card stock and just the die.  The detailed layered on my card uses the detailed die and the embossing folder with Soft Succulent card stock.  It is just gorgeous!

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out using the coordinating die.  I also stamped two of the flowers in Cherry Cobbler ink and the middle one I stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before stamping it on Basic card stock making it a little bit lighter for contrast.  Then I cut them out using the dies.  I layered everything onto a piece of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Series Paper and a Basic White card base.

If you don’t have the Merriest Moments Bundle you really need to get it.  If you purchase it in a bundle you can save 10%.
