Biggest Wish

Hello everyone!  It is time again for another Stamp Off Challenge with Buffy, Jackie and me.  This time our challenge was to make a masculine card.  These are always the hardest for me.  Maybe it is because I love flowers so much and flowers don’t necessarily go with masculine cards.

Stampin Up Biggest Wish

I first decided I wanted to use the Basic Borders Dies for my card.  I cut out five strips using these dies.  I made two in Basic White and one each in Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Night Of Navy.  I layered them together onto a 2.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Smoky Slate card stock.

Then I decided to use the stamp set called Biggest Wish.  I love this stamp set because the sentiments are all large ones.  I stamped Happy Birthday in Night Of Navy ink using my Stamparatus in case I didn’t ink them enough the first time.  The Stamparatus allowed you to stamp in the exact same position as many times as you need to make a solid image.

Then I still felt like the card needed something.  I just received my Turtle Punch that was still sitting on my desk after making a birthday card for someone in this challenge (shhhh) so I pulled out the stamp set and saw the bird and thought it fit perfectly.

Now let’s go see what masculine cards Jackie and Buffy made.  I have to tell you that Jackie is the expert at masculine cards.

  1. Susan, this is a great masculine card. I love the Basic Border strips, as they are soooo geometric. The large font for the sentiment makes the perfect guy card!
