Bloom Where You Are Planted is a Stampin’ Up!® Suite in the 2021/2022 Annual Catalog. This suite includes the stamp set called Plentiful Plants, coordinating dies called Pretty Plants, Bloom Where You Are Planted Designer Series Paper and Paper Lattice. The stamp set has 15 Photopolymer stamps that include some plant pots, leaves and sentiments with a beautiful font. There are fourteen dies in this suite that cut out the stamp images plus a few extra dies which include a couple of macrame plant holders and stands. Plus, the stamp set is a DisINKtive set which means they stamp different opacities for depth.
To make this card I first stamped the leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent inks and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I also cut some of the leaves into singles so I could place them around making the plant bigger. I stamped the pot in Crumb Cake ink and cut that out. I layered a Paper Lattice onto a Merry Merlot card base using Multipurpose Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Heartfelt Wishes (2021 July – December Mini Catalog) in Merry Merlot ink and cut that out using a die from the Seasonal Labels set. Lastly, I tied a price of Linen Thread around the pot and adhered everything to the card base.
Last weekend we went to Alabama to take care of our grandchildren while their parents had a little time away. Emy is now four going on 16. She takes dance classes and did a lot of little recitals for us after which she ended with the typical, young girl pose. It cracks me up how these little girls know how to pose for photographs.
Jackson just turned one which is one of my favorite ages. He walks bow legged (as they all do) and laughs at the funniest things. He loves pool noodles and when he picks one up it always makes him giggle. Jackson was definitely attached to Rob this weekend. They were big buddies the whole time.
I love living so close to my grands year round. There is no better gig!
