Whimsical Trees

Stampin Up Whimsical Trees

Here is a Clean and Simple (CAS) Holiday card you can make quickly and easily.  I usually make between 50-60 of the same Christmas cards to send to friends and family.  That is a lot of cards to make at once but I try to make it fairly simple if I can.  This is a perfect example of a card you can mass produce using your Stamparatus.

To make this card I first took a piece of Basic White card stock and put it in my Stamparatus.  I lined up the large tree stamp from the set called Whimsical Trees and closed a plate over it so it picked up the stamp.  I used Evening Evergreen ink and stamped it onto the card stock.  I reason I use my Stamparatus is because I can just pop another piece of the same sized card stock in the same place and stamp another tree.  This can be done as many times as you want, although I do recommend cleaning off the stamp occasionally.

Next I took the stamp that looks like Christmas lights and layered that over the Evening Evergreen tree and picked it up with a Stamparatus plate.  I inked it up using Daffodil Delight ink and stamped it on the tree.  Again, you can do this with all the other pieces you stamped the tree on over and over.  It truly makes mass producing multiple cards so easy to do.

After all my stamping was done, I layered the Basic White card stock on a piece of Evening Evergreen that I had cut out using the largest Stitched So Sweetly die.  I then layered that on top of a piece of Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper using Dimensionals.  The card base is Evening Evergreen.  Lastly I adhered the sentiment and the star using Multipurpose Glue.

A few days ago, Stampin’ Up!® released a copy of the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog to all the Demonstrators.  They also released the list of what will be retiring from the 2021 July – December Mini Catalog.  Unfortunately, The Whimsical Tree stamp set, the coordinating Christmas Tree dies and the Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper are all retiring.  There are also a lot of other products retiring so if you love something from this catalog make sure you purchase them soon.

  1. Susan, I love your CAS Christmas card. I like that sentiment with your tree. It is lovely and I agree, when making 50-60 cards, you have to cut your losses!
