This is the Valentine I made for my grandson, Nolan. Nolan is four years old and smart as a whip. He definitely takes after his Dad. He has one of those minds that can see something once and remember it. His big sister, Madelyn teaches him a lot since she is almost three years older than him so he is way ahead of most of the kids in his pre-school. I know. I am his grandmother so I am a little prejudice but it is true.
To make this card I first cut a 4″ x 5.25″ piece of Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. This DSP is in the Sale-a-bration Catalog so you can get it for free with a $50 order! There are 48 6″ x 6″ pieces of bright and cheery paper in this pack. It is one of my favorites. I ran this piece of DSP through my Cut “n Emboss machine using one of the dies in the set called Picture This. There are two dies in this set. One cuts out three large rectangles and the other cuts out all these circles. There is stitching around each circle. Before I adhered it to the Basic White card base, I lay this cut piece of DSP on top and drew circles on card base with a pencil so I would know where they lined up. I stamped the X’s and O’s inside the pencil circles using Misty Moonlight and Granny Apple Green ink. Then I erased the pencil marks. By the way, I use a Papermate Clear Point .07 mechanical pencil to do this. I find it completely erases the pencils marks easier than most pencils. You can get them pretty much anywhere like Amazon, Staples or Target. After this I adhered the piece of Designer Series Paper onto the card base.
The Sweet Talk Suite is in the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog. This suite includes the stamp set called Sweet Conversations, coordinating dies called Sweet Hearts Dies, and embossing folder, ribbon, embellishments, little boxes and the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper. This DSP is where I got the hearts with the words on them. I just fussy cut them out using my Paper Snips. I, then, adhered them inside the larger circles using Dimensionals.
Remember, Sale-a-bration is only until the end of February. There are some great products in it that coordinate with some of the products in the Mini Catalog. You can get anything for free in that catalog with a qualifying order and there are no limits to how many you can qualify for.

What a sweet card! And, yes, you are allowed to be as biased as you want as the grandparent!
