This has been such a crazy winter weather-wise. It has been cold everywhere in the United States with lots of rain, snow and ice. As you know, we are in Florida right now. We have been here for 2 weeks and it has mostly been in the 50’s and 60’s. I understand that the Northeast has temperatures below zero and some places it is in the 20’s and 30’s but when you go to Florida for a winter vacation you hope for warm, sunny weather. I am not really whining (well maybe just a bit) but I wish it was just a tad warmer! Luckily is has not rained much so I haven’t needed my rain boots.
Flowering Rain Boots is a stamp set in the 2022 January – June Mini Catalog. It has coordinating dies called Rain Boots and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle. This set is so cute with rain boots (of course), flower pots, watering cans, flowers and stems and a few nice sentiments. Plus the dies include a couple of different shapes that can be used on their own.
To make this card, I first decided I wanted to use the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper which is available for FREE in the Sale-a-bration catalog with a qualifying order. I love this paper because it is so different. It reminds me of swirling water so I thought it would fit perfectly with the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle. I cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of it and adhered it to a Basic White card base. Then I stamped the boots in Highland Heather ink, the flower pots in Cinnamon Cider ink, the stamps in Shaded Spruce ink and the flowers in Daffodil Delight ink and then cut them out using the Rain Boots dies. I used a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Special Moments for the sentiment and cut it out using a die from the set called Sweet Heart.
There are still a few weeks left for Sale-a-bration. If you placed a qualifying order you could get the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper and the Special Moments Stamp Set. There are also a lot of other products to choose from. It all ends February 28th so you will need to order soon!

Susan this is a lovely card. I love that background with the boots and flowers. I offers me more ideas on how to integrate those different backgrounds into a card. As for the weather… I’m grateful for 30+ degrees so that our inch or more of ice is finally melting!

Such a cute card, Susan! I LOVE those boots, and that “puddle” looks perfect for jumping into. As for the temps – today we’re around 60 here, but they’re calling for everything to drop drastically mid-weekend and they’re calling for that dreaded “S” word.
