*As a side note, as I am sure you can tell, I wrote this post in January and forgot to schedule it so I thought today would be a prefect time. Happy Valentine’s Day to all my family and friends!
Now that Christmas is over and all the decorations are put away, it is time to concentrate on the next important holiday, Valentine’s Day. Rob and I will be away during that time so I needed to get things going quickly. I now have six grandchildren and, of course, they are the very important, so I have to send them all Valentine’s. I also send them to my sisters and my mom. Of course, I have to make Rob one too. That is a lot of Valentine’s to send.
The Valentine’s in the photo are the ones I made for the girl grands. Girls love hearts and pink so I thought the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper was perfect for this project. I cut some 4″ x 5.25″ pieces and adhered them to a Basic White card base. I cut the heart out in Blushing Bride card stock using the largest heart in Love & Happiness bundle. This bundle includes the stamp set of the same name, the Bouquet Of Love die set and the Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. It is called hybrid because the dies and the folder can be used together to cut and emboss at the same time. It does work well but I still find it easier to cut and then emboss buy you can do it either way. After cutting out the heart I put it inside the embossing folder and ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine. It embossed those beautiful flowers onto the heart.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Conversations stamp set.
So now, I only have six more to make. Easy Peasy!

Susan, this is such a pretty card, with that texture from the DSP and heart. I CAN NOT believe that you have 6 grand kids!
