Stampin Up Friendly Hello

Friendly Hello is a bundle you can get for free during Sale-a-bration.  This bundle includes an adorable stamp set that has a cute little bird it in, flowers, leaves and some great sentiments.  The bundle also includes Designer Series Paper (also called Friendly Hello).  The DSP is 12′ x 12″ and includes twelve sheets (two each of six different designs).  You can get all of that for free with an $100 purchase!

I have to say I love the Designer Series Paper in this bundle.  The colors in this pack are Basic Black, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Shaded Spruce.   I love all those colors and they go so well together soI decided to use it as the focal point of this card.

To make this card I first cut out the Granny Apple Green piece on the front of my card using the die set called Nature’s Thoughts.  Then I layered the background pieces onto a Basic White card base.  I added the small strip of Shaded Spruce to separate the two different designs.  Then I took a piece of Basic White Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack and colored it using my dark Shaded Spruce Blends.  I love Blends because they can color so many things like ribbon, images and embellishments.   I tied that around the card base.  Then I layered the Granny Apple Green piece on top using Dimensionals.  Lastly, I took the sentiment from the Friendly Hello stamp set and covered the “friend” part using Washi Tape.  I inked the stamp up with Shaded Spruce ink, took off the Washi Tape and stamped it on a piece of Basic White card stock.  This is called masking and you can do it with almost any stamp.

There are so many great products in the Sale-a-bration catalog that you can get for free.  Some require a $50 order and a couple of them require a $100 order.  Sale-a-bration ends on February 28th.  You can order as many times as you want or place one large order and get lots of freebies at one time.

  1. Tee hee, we both went with the same products today. Susan your card is lovely! I really like the way you’ve used the 3 DSP patterns, so that the sentiment really stands out. You do a spectacular job with that
